Kimberly sweeps Appleton East girls volleyball in FVA finale

KIMBERLY – The Appleton East girls volleyball team dropped its Fox Valley Association finale at Kimberly on Thursday night.

Kimberly won 25-19, 25-11, 25-17, to finish the VFA season with a 5-4 record. Appleton East ends up 2-7.

Zoe Wockenfus had eight kills and eight digs, Emma Decker had a team-high nine digs and Addie Wreath had eight assists for the Patriots.

Lindsey Gerard added six assists and Elizabeth Jacobs added four kills for Appleton East.

Appleton East will complete its regular-season schedule at the Luxemburg-Casco Invitational on Saturday. The Patriots will travel to West De Pere for a WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal on Thursday, Oct. 19.
