Kimberly snaps Appleton North girls basketball’s win streak at four

APPLETON – The Appleton North girls basketball team had its four-game winning streak snapped as it dropped a 60-45 decision to Kimberly on Friday night at North High School.
Kimberly held Appleton North to 33 percent shooting and forced 23 turnovers, improving to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the Fox Valley Lutheran.
Delaney Peterson had 18 points to lead the Lightning, who fall to 5-5 overall and 3-3 in the FVA.
Katelyn McGinnis led Kimberly with 17 points.
The Lightning returns to action Tuesday with a nonconference game against Green Bay Southwest at the Kress Center in Green Bay at 6:35 p.m.
