Kimberly downs Appleton East in FVA boys golf opener

APPLETON – Peter Van Grinsven shot a 40 to earn medalist honors and lead Kimberly to a 170-180 win over Appleton East in the Fox Valley Association boys golf dual meet opener for both teams on Friday at Reid Golf Course.

Aiden Codney added a 42 and Chance Rill a 43 for the Papermakers.

Owen Lutes shot a 42, Kenny Kapheim had a 43 and Alex Gilmeister a 46 for Appleton East.

Both teams will be back in action Monday at the Heart of the Valley Invitational at High Cliff Golf Course in Sherwood.
