Kaukauna wrestling overpowers Appleton North

APPLETON – The defending WIAA Division 1 state champion Kaukauna proved too much for Appleton North and the Lightning dropped a 66-9 decision in a Fox Valley Association wrestling dual Thursday at North High School.

North’s two wins came from Jake Stoffel at 175 pounds, who won 5-3 over Brady Sprangers, and on a pin by Brock Arndt at 285 pounds.

Appleton North will have three weeks off before wrestling in a double-dual against Oshkosh West and Appleton East at Fond du Lac on Jan. 11.
