Kaukauna stays perfect, downs Appleton West softball

KAUKAUNA – Undefeated Kaukauna proved too much for Appleton West, rolling to a 15-2 win in a Fox Valley Association softball game Monday at Kaukauna High School.
The Ghosts led 3-0 after two innings and blew the game open with an eight-run third, improving to 14-0 overall and 11-0 in the FVA.
Appleton West’s two runs came in the fourth inning when Aubrey Detert scored on a groundout and Chloe Didreckson singled home Ali Raddatz, who had doubled earlier in the inning.
The Terrors (0-10 overall and FVA) finished with four hits, three coming in the fourth inning.
Kaukauna plays at Hortonville and Appleton West will travel to Oshkosh North for FVA contests on Tuesday.
