Kaukauna rolls past Appleton West boys basketball on ‘Brian Butch Night’

APPLETON – Kaukauna had four players score in double figures as it defeated Appleton West 95-48 in a Fox Valley Association boys basketball game Friday night at West High School.
Appleton West celebrated the career of its all-time leading scorer and two-time state Player of the Year Brian Butch as it retired his No. 42. The 2003 West graduate went on to star for the University of Wisconsin after helping the Terrors to back-to-back WIAA state tournament appearances.
Andrew Jensen was a perfect 10-for-10 from the field and scored 22 points, and Nathan Deprez made four 3-pointers and scored 21 for Kaukauna (12-6, 8-5 FVA).
Chrishawn Salley had a season-high 20 points and Braylon Ise added 11 for the Terrors (0-18, 0-13 FVA).
Appleton West jumps back into action Saturday with a home nonconference game against Green Bay Southwest at 5 p.m.
