Kaukauna blanks Appleton West softball

APPLETON – The Appleton West softball team was held to one hit and fell to Kaukauna 19-0 in a Fox Valley Association game Thursday at the Nienhaus Sports Complex.

Kaukauna (7-0, 3-0 FVA) scored five times in the opening inning and went on to finish off the game via the 10-run rule after five innings.

The Ghosts pounded out 14 hits, eight for extra bases. Paige Bodenheimer led the hit parade going 4-for-4 with four RBI.

Ali Raddatz had a double for the Terrors’ lone hit.

Appleton West (1-4, 0-4 FVA) will be back in action Tuesday at Neenah.
