Kaukauna blanks Appleton North softball

KAUKAUNA – Kaukauna pitcher Karly Meredith struck out 13 as the Ghosts defeated Appleton North 11-0 in a Fox Valley Association softball game Friday at Kaukauna High School.

The Lightning (4-8, 3-7 FVA) were held to four hits in the loss.

Meredith and Taylor Federwitz homered for the Ghosts, who remain unbeaten at 12-0 overall and 10-0 in the FVA.

Appleton North returns to action at Fond du Lac on Tuesday.
