Hudson tosses gem as Appleton North baseball shuts out Kaukauna

KAUKAUNA – Logan Hudson tossed a complete-game shutout as the Appleton North baseball team continued its hot start to the season with a 9-0 win over Kaukauna on Friday at Kaukauna High School.
Hudson did not strike out a batter, but walked only one and scattered four hits in the victory. North only committed one error as well.
Brennan Otto and Matthew Hietpas finished with identical stat lines for the Lightning (4-1, 2-0 FVA) with a double, a home run, three RBI and two runs scored.
Nathan Ramus also scored twice for North, which handed Kaukauna (2-1, 1-1 FVA) its first loss of the season.
Appleton North is right back in action Saturday with a nonconference home game against Menomonee Falls beginning at 1 p.m.
