HORTONVILLE – Hortonville rallied with a three-run seventh inning to earn a walk-off 4-3 win over Appleton East in a Fox Valley Association baseball game Tuesday at Commercial Club Park.
Appleton East took a 3-1 lead into the bottom of the seventh on two Jackson Bins-Sabrowsky RBI singles in the first and seventh innings, and a bases-loaded walk in the fourth.
Cade Prestigiacomo was cruising along on the mound for the Patriots until he ran into trouble in the seventh. A single, an error and an intentional walk loaded the bases with one out before a walk forced in a run. T.J. Parker came in in relief and got a ground ball that was misplayed, allowing two runs to score and give Hortonville (5-3, 4-1 FVA) the win.
Appleton East (1-5, 1-3 FVA) hosts Appleton West on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
