Hortonville slugs past Appleton East softball

APPLETON – Hortonville scored in six of its seven at-bats and defeated Appleton East 13-2 in a Fox Valley Association softball game Tuesday at Appleton East High School.
Appleton East scored both of its runs in the fourth inning on a two-run single by Allena Neubauer.
Nina Kubiak and Lydia Dahlman each had two hits for the Patriots (1-6, 1-4 FVA).
Leah Heraly had four hits and three RBI to lead Hortonville (7-2, 4-2 FVA), which had 17 hits in all, including five doubles.
Appleton East returns to action Thursday at Appleton West.
