Hortonville shuts out Appleton North softball

HORTONVILLE – The Appleton North softball team was held to two hits by Hortonville pitcher Olivia Peters and dropped a 4-0 decision in a Fox Valley Association game Thursday at Otto Miller Park.
Hortonville (12-7, 8-5 FVA) scored single tallies in the first, third, fifth and sixth innings to pull away.
Ella Nissen suffered the loss for the Lightning (5-14, 3-11 FVA), finishing with three strikeouts and one walk.
Tatum Beggs and Maggie Hendrick had singles for Appleton North.
Appleton North will look to rebound Friday at home against Appleton West.
