Hortonville shuts out Appleton North baseball

HORTONVILLE – Taiven Gass threw a five-inning three-hit shutout to lead Hortonville to a 10-0 win over Appleton North in a Fox Valley Association baseball game Tuesday at Commercial Club Park.
Gass struck out four and walked just won as the Polar Bears rolled to the win, improving to 10-9 overall and 9-6 in the FVA.
Levi Watts had two of the three hits for Appleton North (13-5, 11-4 FVA).
The Lightning committed four errors and starting pitcher Matthew Hietpas had six walks in the loss.
Appleton North hosts Appleton West on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
