Hortonville rolls past Appleton West baseball

APPLETON – Appleton West committed nine errors and walked 11 Hortonville batters in a 20-1 loss in a Fox Valley Association baseball game Tuesday at the Nienhaus Sports Complex.
The Polar Bears (5-2, 2-1 FVA) scored seven times over the first two innings and put up 10 runs in the fourth to cruise to the win.
Appleton West (1-5, 1-2 FVA) was held to four hits. Michael Gwiazdon had an RBI single in the fourth inning for the Terrors’ lone run.
Appleton West hosts Kaukauna on Thursday.
