Hortonville overwhelms Appleton East baseball

APPLETON – Hortonville poured it on early, scoring 11 times in the first two innings and cruised to a 17-5 win over Appleton East in a Fox Valley Association baseball game Friday at East High School.

Kael Konrad had a double, a home run and drove in five, and Jack Schulze had a triple and three RBI for Hortonville (8-8, 7-5 FVA).

Cade Prestigiacomo had a two-run double in Appleton East’s five-run second innings, but that would all the Patriots would get, falling to 5-11 overall and 4-9 in the FVA.

Appleton East will look to rebound Monday at home against Fond du Lac.
