Hortonville blanks Appleton East softball

HORTONVILLE – Hortonville pitcher Molly Kelly struck out seven in a complete-game shutout as the Polar Bears blanked Appleton East 7-0 in a Fox Valley Association softball game Tuesday at Otto Miller Park.

The Patriots (1-3 overall and FVA) were held to six singles in the loss.

Paige Lillie had two hits and two RBI to pace the Polar Bears (6-3, 2-3 FVA).

Aubrey Erickson suffered the loss for East, finishing with four strikeouts.

Appleton East will host Appleton West in another FVA game Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
