Green Bay Southwest sends Appleton West girls basketball to third-straight loss

GREEN BAY – Appleton West couldn’t overcome a slow start and dropped a nonconference girls basketball game at Green Bay Southwest 52-30 on Tuesday.
Southwest (2-2) outscored Appleton West (2-3) 22-13 in the first half and was able to hold the Terrors to 17 points in the second half to finish off the victory.
Addyson Knoebel had 10 points to lead Appleton West, which lost its third game in a row following a 2-0 start to the season.
Addison Pytieski had 15 points to lead the Trojans.
Appleton West returns to Fox Valley Association play Friday at Appleton North as part of a boys-girls doubleheader. The boys game starts at 6 p.m., with the girls to follow at approximately 7:45 p.m.
