Green Bay Preble holds on late to top Appleton West boys basketball

GREEN BAY – The Appleton West boys basketball team could not overcome an eight-point halftime deficit and lost a nonconference road game at Green Bay Preble 66-61 on Monday.
The Terrors trailed 34-26 at the break and outscored Preble by three in the second half before falling short.
Appleton West (1-2) made nine 3-pointers, including three each from Parrion Peace (14 points) and Braylon Ise (13 points). Reid Hinkins chipped in 10 for the Terrors.
Ty Gerard led Preble (2-1) with 19 points.
Appleton West will play at Appleton North on Friday as part of a girls-boys Fox Valley Association doubleheader. The girls game starts at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow at approximately 7:45 p.m.
