FVA co-leader Fond du Lac holds down Appleton North boys basketball

APPLETON – Fond du Lac kept pace atop the Fox Valley Association boys basketball standings with a 49-40 victory over Appleton North on Friday night at Appleton North High School.
The Cardinals turned a one-point halftime lead into a nine-point victory with a second-half surge and improve to 16-5 overall and 13-2 in the FVA, which is tied for first place with Kaukauna with three conference games remaining.
Grant Hardy and Abraham Tomori each scored 10 for Appleton North (13-6, 10-5 FVA), which was held to a season-low offensive output.
Marvin Haslett III led Fond du Lac with 21 points.
Appleton North will play at Kaukauna on Tuesday before hosting Appleton East on Thursday.
