Freedom slips past Fox Valley Lutheran girls basketball in low-scoring affair

APPLETON – Freedom outscored Fox Valley Lutheran by four points in the second half to provide the final margin in a low-scoring 34-30 win in North Eastern Conference girls basketball action Thursday night at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
Fox Valley Lutheran (4-10, 4-8 NEC) has now lost eight of its last nine games.
Eden Last topped the Foxes with 13 points.
Jaydah Bork led Freedom (13-4, 10-3 NEC) with 10 points. The Irish remain one-half game behind conference-leader Marinette (10-2) in the North Eastern Conference standings.
Fox Valley Lutheran’s will host Winnebago Lutheran for a nonconference game Saturday at 7 p.m., as a string of six-straight home games continues for the Foxes.
