Fox Valley Lutheran’s Curtis, Keller earn Player of the Year honors on 2023 All-North Eastern Conference Boys Soccer Team

Fox Valley Lutheran senior forward Reed Curtis was named Offensive Player of the Year and senior defender Ben Keller the Defensive Player of the Year on the 2023 All-North Eastern Conference Boys Soccer Team, which was voted on by the conference coaches following the season.

Curtis and Keller were among the four Foxes named to the first team, joining senior goalkeeper Matthew Callaway and senior forward/midfielder John Callaway.

Curtis led Fox Valley Lutheran with 13 goals scored and added seven assists as the Foxes went 13-7 overall and won the North Eastern Conference championship with a perfect 7-0 mark.

Matthew Callaway finished with 81 saves in goal, and John Callaway had 10 goals and nine assists this season for FVL.

Luxemburg-Casco’s Johan Amador and Drew Bandow, Marinette’s Chrislin Pierre, Freedom’s Cal Calhoon and Tony Drontie, Waupaca’s Liam Bloedow, Adrian Bustamante and Alex Gusmer, and Clintonville’s Kevin Luciano round out the first-team all-conference honorees.

Juniors Jin Lee and Christian Monigal, and senior Sam Ferge were second-team selections for Fox Valley Lutheran.
