Fox Valley Lutheran wrestling earns two individual titles at Wisconsin Lutheran Invite

MILWAUKEE – Grant Shea and Austin Kufner won individual titles for the Fox Valley Lutheran wrestling team as the Foxes placed seventh at the 14-team Viking Invitational on Saturday at Wisconsin Lutheran High School.

Shea (11-1) earned the 120-pound title with a pin in 3:44 over Javier Gomez-Atilano of Kenosha Christian Life in the championship match, while Kufner (12-3) defeating Seviyon Doss of Wisconsin Lutheran 5-1 to capture the 157-pound final for the Foxes.

Winnebago Lutheran Academy won the team title with 201.5 points. FVL was seventh with 115 points.

The Foxes had five other top-six finishes as Jameson Sieg (106) and Ethan Ruppel (175) placed fourth, Tyler Martin (126) took fifth, and Liam Murphy (165) and Isaac Vadala (285) both ended up sixth.

Fox Valley Lutheran has a North Eastern Conference dual at Denmark on Thursday.
