Fox Valley Lutheran softball slugs past Oconto Falls

OCONTO FALLS – Fox Valley Lutheran scored in each of its last five at-bats and outlasted Oconto Falls 9-5 in a North Eastern Conference softball game Monday at Oconto Falls High School.

Each team exchanged four runs in the third inning before Fox Valley Lutheran (3-1, 2-1 North Eastern Conference) pulled away with two runs in the fourth and single tallies in the final three innings.

Madison Babcock earned the complete-game win for the Foxes, striking out seven without a walk. She also added two hits and two RBI.

Alaina Krueger had two RBI, and Avery Steffes and Melayna Sokulski both had two hits as well for FVL.

Fox Valley Lutheran will travel to Reedsville for a nonconference game Tuesday.
