Fox Valley Lutheran softball routs Waupaca to open ’25 campaign

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran softball team finally got its season-opener in and rolled to a 16-0 victory over Waupaca on Thursday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
The Foxes scored seven times in the opening inning and added five more in the second to take control. FVL won the game in four innings via the 15-run rule.
Claire Pfrang, Natalie Bromm, Ava Martin, Nora Probst and Avery Steffes each had two hits for Fox Valley Lutheran, which finished with 14 in all. Bromm homered and scored three times in the victory.
Madison Babcock allowed just one hit with no walks and struck out 11 in a four-inning complete game for the Foxes.
FVL will play a nonconference game at Appleton North on Friday.
