Fox Valley Lutheran softball raps out 32 hits in doubleheader sweep of Waupaca

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran softball team pounded out 32 hits and scored 28 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Waupaca on Friday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

The Foxes won 11-5 and 17-4 to run their record to 10-4 overall and 6-4 in the North Eastern Conference.

Madison Babcock picked up wins in each end of the twinbill, striking out a combined 18, including 11 in Game 2. She also went 2-for-3 with two RBI in Game 1 and 4-for-6 with two doubles in the second game.

The Foxes had on their hitting shoes as they scored multiple runs in eight of their 13 at-bats.

Brooklyn Blob went 3-for-4 in each game, knocking in six runs, including four in Game 1.

Fox Valley Lutheran will host another NEC doubleheader on Monday against Wrightstown starting at 4 p.m.
