Fox Valley Lutheran has two second-team picks to 2024 All-North Eastern Conference Softball Team

Fox Valley Lutheran had two players named to the second team and three others earn honorable mention accolades on the 2024 All-North Eastern Conference Softball Team, as voted on by the 10 conference coaches following the season.

Freshman pitcher Madison Babcock and senior infielder/pitcher Brooklyn Blob were second-team selections for FVL, which finished 17-8 overall and in fourth place in the NEC with an 11-7 record.

Babcock was the Foxes’ workhorse on the mound, going 13-7 with 166 strikeouts and just 17 walks in 125 1/3 innings pitched. She also hit .354 with 13 runs scored and 16 RBI.

Blob batted a sizzling .525 (42-for-80) with 24 RBI and 17 runs scored, and went 4-1 on the moudn with 27 strikeouts in 27 innings for the Foxes.

Freshman catcher Melayna Sokulski, freshman infielder Claire Pfrang and senior infielder Alaina Krueger were among the honorable mention picks for Fox Valley Lutheran.

Denmark senior infielder Olivia Ullman was named Player of the Year as the Vikings took third place in the NEC with a 15-3 record (20-7 overall).
