Fox Valley Lutheran girls volleyball defeats Freedom to improve to 7-0 in NEC

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran girls volleyball team won its seventh-straight North Eastern Conference match with a 3-1 victory over Freedom on Thursday night at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

The Foxes won 25-18, 23-25, 25-11, 25-13, to move to 7-0 in the NEC and remain in a tie for first place with Luxemburg-Casco. The two teams will meet Tuesday at Luxemburg-Casco High School with the conference title on the line. Freedom is now 4-4.

Molly Bixby had 23 assists and 13 digs, Annalise Patchett had 16 kills and nine digs, and Ava Patchett added 14 assists for FVL.

Riley Schmitz had a team-best 24 digs, Emma Nilson added nine kills and Sophie Wunderlich had eight kills as well for the Foxes.

After Tuesday’s showdown at Luxemburg-Casco, Fox Valley Lutheran will finish its regular-season schedule Thursday, Oct. 12, at home against Marinette.
