Fox Valley Lutheran girls volleyball comes from behind to earn road win at Oconto Falls

OCONTO FALLS – The Fox Valley Lutheran girls volleyball team survived a five-set match, earning a come-from-behind victory against Oconto Falls on Tuesday night to remain undefeated in the North Eastern Conference.
The Foxes won 26-28, 25-11, 22-25, 25-16, 15-8.
Fox Valley Lutheran, ranked No. 2 in this week’s Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association Division 2 state poll, is now 5-0 in the North Eastern Conference, while No. 10-ranked Oconto Falls drops to 4-3. The Foxes sit one-half game behind Luxemburg-Casco (6-0) in the conference standings.
Emma Nilson had 13 kills and 11 blocks, one of four Foxes to finish in double figures in kills. Hannah Uhlenbrauck, Greta Nolte and Brianna Stewart all chipped in 10 kills in the victory.
Molly Bixby had 30 assists and 16 digs, Ava Patchett added 16 assists and nine digs, and Amara Jahner had 13 digs and seven service aces for the Foxes.
Fox Valley Lutheran will enjoy a week off from competition before playing an NEC match at Clintonville on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
