Fox Valley Lutheran girls golf ties for first at Freedom Triangular

FREEDOM – C.J. Woosley shot a 49 to win medalist honors and help the Fox Valley Lutheran girls golf team to a tie for team title at the Freedom Triangular on Tuesday at Irish Waters Golf Course.

Woosley held off Freedom’s Kay Lee by two shots as both FVL and Freedom finished with team totls of 217. Luxemburg-Casco was third with a 225.

Lucy Engelbrecht had 54, Elliot Kriewald shot 56, Cecelia Hermann had a 58 and Lily Kari had a 71 for the Foxes.

Fox Valley Lutheran will compete at Northbrook Golf Club in Luxemburg on Sept. 9.
