Fox Valley Lutheran girls basketball tops Waupaca in WIAA Division 2 regional semifinal

WAUPACA – The No. 5 seed Fox Valley Lutheran girls basketball team hit the road for a third matchup with North Eastern Conference rival Waupaca, the No. 4 seed, and came away with a 39-30 win in a WIAA Division 2 regional semifinal Friday night.

The teams split their regular-season meetings, with the Foxes winning by three just two weeks ago at Waupaca, and they were able to do it again to advance in the playoffs.

Fox Valley Lutheran (10-13) moves on to a D-2 regional final at No. 1 seed Shawano (19-5) on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Eden Last had 13 points, and Brianna Dahlke finished with 10 points and 16 rebounds to lead the way for the Foxes.
