Fox Valley Lutheran girls basketball loses slugfest to Denmark

APPLETON – Denmark held Fox Valley Lutheran to under 20 points in each half and pulled away for a 48-35 win in a North Eastern Conference girls basketball game Friday night at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

The Vikings outscored FVL by six points in the first half and seven in the second, improving to 13-8 overall and 10-5 in the North Eastern Conference. Allie VanVoderen and Kierrah Micolchek both had 14 points for Denmark.

Lauren Movrich was the lone FVL player to reach double figures, scoring 12 in the loss for the Foxes (7-11, 7-8 NEC).

Fox Valley Lutheran’s next game is Tuesday at first-place Freedom (15-5, 13-2 NEC).
