Fox Valley Lutheran football stomps New London

NEW LONDON – Liam Heiges threw for three touchdowns and ran for three more as the Fox Valley Lutheran football team pounded New London 42-8 in a Bay Conference-North Eastern Conference crossover game Friday night at New London High School.

Heiges completed 8 of 14 passes for 164 yards and three scores, all to different receivers. He also added another 1118 rushing yards and scored three times on just four carries for the Foxes (3-1, 2-0 North Eastern Conference).

Heiges had TD runs of 40, 43 and 3 yards in the first half as the Foxes took command with a 35-0 lead before halftime.

David Schumacher hauled in five passes for 106 yards and a 69-yard touchdown, and Nick Martin and Trenton Heyn also scored on TD receptions for FVL.

Fox Valley Lutheran hosts Demark (1-3, 0-2 NEC) on Friday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m.
