Fox Valley Lutheran football routs Antigo in WIAA Division 3 playoff opener

APPLETON – Fox Valley Lutheran poured it on early, scoring five first-half touchdowns, and rolled to a 42-14 win over Antigo in a WIAA Division 3 Level 1 football playoff game Friday night at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
Jack Egan finished with 70 yards rushing and three touchdowns, and quarterback Liam Heiges threw for 205 yards and three more scores as the Foxes (7-3) cruised into the second round of the playoffs.
No. 3 seed Fox Valley Lutheran will play a D-3 Level 2 game at No. 2 seed Green Bay Notre Dame (9-1) next Friday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. Notre Dame demolished Ashwaubenon 56-7 in its playoff opener.
Lucas Papendorf caught five passes for 112 yards and scored on plays of 33 and 60 yards. Heiges’ other TD pass from a 29-yarder to Graham Feidt.
The Foxes racked up 404 total yards while holding Antigo (4-6) to just 154 yards and seven first downs.
