Fox Valley Lutheran earns seven spots on 2024 All-North Eastern Conference Baseball Team

Seven Fox Valley Lutheran players were among the selections to the 2024 All-North Eastern Conference Baseball Team, as voted on by the conference coaches following the season.

Senior pitcher Mac Kramer and junior catcher Lincoln Thede were named to the 14-player first team for the Foxes, who finished 12-6 and in third place in the North Eastern Conference, while ending up 15-13 overall after reaching the WIAA Division 2 regional final.

Kramer went 3-4 with a save on the mound for FVL, striking out 27 over 39 1/3 innings pitched. He also hit .288 with a team-high 22 RBI and 13 runs scored.

Thede batted .293 with eight runs scored and eight RBI.

Senior Alex Tornio was named to the second team as a pitcher and sophomore Jack Schlueter also earned a spot on the second team for Fox Valley Lutheran.

Tornio went 5-1 on the mound with 41 strikeouts in 40 1/3 innings, and hit .267 with 17 runs scored and 14 RBI. Schlueter batted .253 with 12 runs and 11 RBI for the Foxes.

Honorable mention choices for FVL were junior outfielder Lucas Papendorf, junior utility player James Heimerl and senior utility player Cael Cook.

Freedom’s Carson Clausen was named NEC Player of the Year.
