Fox Valley Lutheran cruises past Sturgeon Bay in WIAA Division 2 girls volleyball regional semifinal

APPLETON – Fox Valley Lutheran will play for a regional title after sweeping Sturgeon Bay 3-0 in a WIAA Division 2 girls volleyball regional semifinal Thursday night at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

The No. 2 seed Foxes won 25-18, 25-17, 25-15, to move on to a D-2 regional final at home against No. 3 seed Luxemburg-Casco on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Fox Valley Lutheran defeated Luxemburg-Casco 3-0 on Oct. 10 to win the North Eastern Conference championship.

Annalise Patchett had 15 kills, Ava Patchett had 21 assists and Riley Schmitz had 29 digs to lead the Foxes.

Emma Nilson and Greta Nolte each added five kills, and Amara Jahner had three service aces for Fox Valley Lutheran.
