Fox Valley Lutheran boys soccer rallies to defeat Wrightstown

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran boys soccer team won its third-straight North Eastern Conference match, downing Wrightstown 3-1 on Tuesday night at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
Wrightstown scored on its only shot on goal late in the first half and the Tigers’ lead held until 8:27 into the second half when Reed Curtis tied the game for Fox Valley Lutheran.
The Foxes pulled ahead on a pair of goals Sam Ferge in the final 10 minutes.
FVL is now 5-4 overall and a perfect 3-0 in the NEC, while Wrightstown drops to 3-3 and 1-2 in conference play.
Fox Valley Lutheran plays another North Eastern Conference on Thursday at Freedom. Freedom is one-half game behind the Foxes in the NEC standings at 2-0-1.
