Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball surges past Shawano

GREEN BAY – The Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball team used a big second half to defeat Shawano 56-42 on Friday at the Sun Drop Shootout at Kress Center on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

Fox Valley Lutheran led 24-22 at halftime before busting the game open with a 32-20 second-half advantage and are now 5-1 this season.

Lucas Papendorf had 18 points and Caleb Dahlke scored 16 for the Foxes.

Will Verkuilen topped Shawano (1-7) with 13 points.

Fox Valley Lutheran returns to North Eastern Conference action Friday at Wrightstown.
