Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball clinches North Eastern Conference title with hard-fought win at Freedom

FREEDOM – The Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball are North Eastern Conference champions after a pulling away in the second half to defeat Freedom 62-53 on Tuesday at Freedom High School.
The Foxes took a slim 30-28 lead into halftime before a strong second half secured an eight-point win and clinched the North Eastern Conference title as they improve to 19-2 overall and 16-0 in the conference.
Sam Ferge scored 18 points and Adam Loberger added 16 in the win for Fox Valley Lutheran.
FVL was 15-for-18 at the free throw line and held a nine-rebound advantage in the victory.
Asthon Peterson led Freedom (17-4, 13-3 NEC) with 20 points.
Fox Valley Lutheran hosts Little Chute on Friday at 7 p.m.
