Fox Valley Lutheran baseball wins in walk-off fashion over Marinette

APPLETON – Mac Kramer knocked home pinch runner Callum Nowak with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Fox Valley Lutheran baseball team a 4-3 walk-off win over Marinette in a North Eastern Conference game Tuesday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
FVL forced extra innings as Lincoln Thede brough home Bickel with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning and were able to win it in the ninth.
Jack Schlueter picked up the pitching win, allowing one run in four innings of relief. Alex Tornio started, going five innings with seven strikeouts and two third-inning runs allowed. He also added a double in the game.
Kramer finished 3-for-4, and These and Josiah Robbert both had two hits as well for the Foxes, who have won four games in a row and improve to 8-7 overall and 7-3 in the NEC.
The two teams will play again at Marinette on Thursday.
