Fox Valley Lutheran baseball sweeps doubleheader over Oconto Falls

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran baseball team snapped a four-game losing skid with a doubleheader sweep of North Eastern Conference foe Oconto Falls on Thursday at home, winning 3-1 and 6-3.

Mac Kramer tossed a complete-game four-hitter in the opener, striking out five.

Trailing 1-0 in the fourth, FVL scored all three of its runs in the frame as Kramer had an RBI double and Jack Schlueter following with another double to score two.

In Game 2, James Heimerl earned the win, striking out four over 5 2/3 innings. He also had an RBI for the Foxes, who are now 6-7 overall and 6-3 in the NEC.

Fox Valley Lutheran will play a nonconference game at New London on Friday at 4 p.m.
