Fox Valley Lutheran baseball picks up road win at Winnebago Lutheran

FOND DU LAC – The Fox Valley Lutheran baseball team won its third-straight game, defeating Winnebago Lutheran 5-2 in a nonconference matchup Wednesday at Winnebago Lutheran High School.

The Foxes scored three times in the top of the first inning and that proved to be enough as four pitchers combined on a four-hitter.

Jacob Bickel picked up the win, throwing four shutout innings with only one hit allowed and three strikeouts.

Lincoln Thede and Jack Schlueter each knocked in runs for the Foxes (5-3).

Fox Valley Lutheran will kick off play at the Waupun Tournament on Friday with a game against Lake Country Lutheran at 4 p.m. and will play two more games on Saturday.
