Fox Cities Stars girls hockey surges past Wisconsin Valley

WAUPACA – The Fox Cities Stars scored six unanswered goals to pull past the Wisconsin Valley Union 7-2 in an Eastern Shores Conference game Tuesday at the Waupaca Expo Center.
Wisconsin Valley (5-7, 1-3 Eastern Shores) led 2-1 after Lily Cichy scored twice before the stormed ahead, scoring twice in a two-minute span on goals from Kendall Lindemann and Scarlet Pellegrini to take the lead for good.
The Stars Stars (7-5, 1-2 Eastern Shores) poured on four more goals in the first 9½ minutes of the third period to ice the win.
Teagan Wilkins had 17 saves in goal for Fox Cities.
Fox Cities hosts Black River Falls on Friday at the Tri-County Ice Arena in Neenah at 7 p.m.
