Fox Cities Stars girls hockey suffers road loss at first-place Bay Area

ASHWAUBENON – The Bay Area Ice Bears stayed undefeated in the Eastern Shores Conference with a 6-2 win over the Fox Cities Stars on Friday night at the Cornerstone Community Center.
Bay Area scored the game’s first three goals and pulled ahead 5-1 early in the third period, cruising to the victory and improving to 9-4 overall and a perfect 5-0 in the Eastern Shores Conference.
Peyton Smith and Ellery Marsh scored goals for the Stars, who drop to 6-9 and 1-3 in conference play after suffering their third-straight loss.
Fox Cities will host Brookfield for another conference matchup Saturday at 6 p.m. at Tri-County Ice Arena in Neenah.
