Fox Cities Stars girls hockey splits home games this past weekend

NEENAH – The Fox Cities Stars girls hockey team split a pair of nonconference games at the Tri-County Ice Arena over the weekend.
The Stars rolled to a 5-1 win over Chippewa Falls/McDonell on Friday before dropping a 3-2 decision to the Eau Claire All-Stars on Saturday.
Fox Cities is now 10-10 this season.
After falling behind 1-0 in the opening minute to Chippewa Falls/McDonell, the Stars scored five unanswered goals to win going away.
Kendall Lindemann had her first career varsity goal, and Ella Merritt, Peyton Smith, Lillian McCracken and Evie Mursau added goals in the win for Fox Cities.
Statistics from Saturday’s game were not provided.
Fox Cities will travel to Waupaca to take on the Wisconsin Valley Union in an Eastern Shores Conference game Thursday at 5 p.m.
