Fox Cities Stars girls hockey shuts out Eau Claire Area

EAU CLAIRE – The Fox Cities Stars girls hockey team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 4-0 shutout of the Eau Claire Area Stars on Friday night at Hobbs Ice Arena.

Scarlett Pellegrini and Ella Merritt each scored in the opening period to give Fox Cities (10-7) more than enough.

Evie Mursau and Margaret Thomas tacked on goals, and Teagan Wilkins saved all 16 shots she saw in goal for Fox Cities.

Fox Cities will be back in action at Chippewa Falls/McDonell on Saturday at 1 p.m.
