RIVER HILLS – The Fox Cities Stars scored once in each period and shut out the University School of Milwaukee Co-op 3-0 in an Eastern Shores Conference girls hockey game Tuesday at the Uihlein Ice Arena.
Scarlet Pellegini scored midway through the opening period and Evie Mursau added a pair of games, one each in the second and third, to pace the Stars, who improve to 11-8 overall and 2-5 in the Eastern Shores.
Teagan Wilkins saves all 17 shots in goal for the Stars to earn the shutout win.
The Stars will host the St. Croix Valley Fusion (Chippewa Falls/Menomonie) on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Tri-County Ice Arena in Neenah.
