Fox Cities Stars girls hockey blanks Northland Pines Co-op

RHINELANDER – The Fox Cities Stars girls hockey team faced no resistance and scored at will, skating to an 11-0 whitewashing of Northland Pines Co-op on Monday at the Rhinelander Ice Arena.

The Stars outshot Northland Pines 60-4 and scored at least three goals in each period to run their season record to 12-10.

Kendall Lindemann, Ella Merritt and Scarlet Pellegrini each scored twice, with Pellegrini adding three assists in the rout for the Stars.

Fox Cities will participate in the Eastern Shores Conference playoffs on Saturday at Hartland Arrowhead.
