Fox Cities Stars girls hockey blanks Brookfield

ASHWAUBENON – The Fox Cities Stars girls hockey team dominated the puck and shut out Brookfield 2-0 in an Eastern Shores Conference game Saturday at the Cornerstone Community Center.
The Stars outshot Brookfield 56-8, with goaltender Makenna Otto saving all eight in the victory.
Evie Mursau scored midway through the first period and Margaret Thomas added a goal 8:25 into the second to provide the Stars will all they would need.
Fox Cities is now 12-10 overall and finishes its Eastern Shores Conference season with a 5-3 record.
Fox Cities wraps up its regular-season schedule this week with a home game against St. Croix Valley on Friday and a road contest at Hayward on Saturday.
