Fox Cities Stars boys hockey slides past Waupun

FOND DU LAC – Cale Adamovich scored twice in the final two minutes to give the Fox Cities Stars boys hockey team a 3-1 win over Waupun in a Badgerland Conference playoff game Saturday at BlueLine Ice Arena.
Parker Janssen scored in the final minute of the first period to give the Stars a 1-0 lead.
The score held until Waupun tied it up with 3:37 to go in regulation, before Adamovich knocked in what proved to be the game-winner with 1:43 remaining. He added an empty net goal with 39 seconds left as the Stars improve to 11-10 overall and finish the Badgerland at 4-4.
The Stars will host Sheboygan on Tuesday and Stoughton next Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Tri-County Ice Arena in Neenah to wrap up their regular season.
The WIAA postseason brackets will be announced Sunday with the playoffs beginning Feb. 18.
