Four-run first inning propels Appleton East baseball past Oshkosh North

OSHKOSH – Appleton East scored four times in the opening inning and cruised to a 7-3 win over Oshkosh North in a Fox Valley Association baseball game Thursday at E.J. Schneider Ried.
Matthew Bixler allowed three runs in six innings to earn the win for the Patriots, who are now 5-10 overall and 4-8 in the FVA.
Rylan Winkler had a single, a triple and four RBI, and Alex Thompson had two hits for Appleton East.
Connor Palmquist knocked in two runs for Oshkosh North (7-11, 2-10 FVA).
Appleton East hosts Hortonville for another FVA game Friday at 4:30 p.m.
